A Non Governmental Organization, known as Faith Nwennearizi Foundation has been lauded for donating educational materials, including exercise books, uniforms and school bags to pupils of Mgbala Primary School, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Headteacher of the school, Mrs. Rita Omagbemi, who made the commendation at the school during the brief ceremony, described the gesture as timely and a step in the right direction.
While saying that the educational materials would impact on the pupils by improving the learning experience of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Omagbemi stated that some of them come from the background where such materials were easily not accessed.
She noted that the gesture was an indication that the school was not alone in the quest to provide quality education and care for the future of the children, adding that Mgbala Primary School under her watch had been motivated and encouraged to keep striving for excellence.
Mrs. Omagbemi said that the donation of the educational materials would bring immense value to the school and foster the spirit of generosity and unity as well as enhance the learning among children.
The Headteacher urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the educational materials, stressing that the initiative would inspire them to work harder and give back to the society someday.
Mrs. Omagbemi, however, stressed the need for collective efforts in building the school system, reminding everyone that together, they could shape the future of the younger minds .
Earlier, the founder of Faith Nwemearizi Foundation, Faith Nwennearizi explained that the objectives of the Foundation included the provision of stationeries, school bags for children, enlighten them on the need to embrace education and create scholarship schemes for them.
Nwennearizi stated that as part of Children's Day Celebration, the Foundation decided to visit Mgbala Model Primary School, Okpanam to extend love and charity to them by providing them with educational materials and to share her story with them .
She admonised them to take their studies seriously .
