The Award and prize giving ceremony for the 2025 Chris Ikomi Essay Competition for the Junior and Senior Secondary School students in Delta State would hold on Friday, June 13, 2025 .
According to a statement from the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Secondary Education , Mr. Daniel Akiri on behalf of the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, the event would hold at the Conference hall, Olorogun Felix Ibru Secretariat, Asaba beginning from 10am prompt.
The statement said that the preliminaries and the local government stages of the competition had earlier been conducted.
It reiterated that the first , second and third best students in both the junior and senior categories would receive prizes .
The statement, however, noted that the competition was geared towards encouraging students to excel in essay writing and commended Chris Ikomi for organizing the competition.
