Nationwide Raid , NDLEA Crushed , Drug Empire Cocaine Ingestion, N1.1bn Opioids & 2,687kg of Skunk Seized

The  NDLEA operatives at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA) arrested 44-year-old businessman Ezemokwe Chukwuebuka Christian for ingesting  53 wraps of cocaine (1.172kg) en route to Iran. The suspect admitted to drug trafficking between West Africa and Iran for two years.  
 At Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), NDLEA intercepted 14,410 tramadol pills hidden in winter jackets bound for Italy. Suspect  Edobor Ambrose Ali confessed to being hired as a courier for a €2,000 fee.  

 While at Onne Ports, Rivers state NDLEA uncovered 157,800 bottles of codeine syrup (worth N1.1bn) concealed in a container of ceramic wares.  
  and at Cross River Raid on a warehouse yielded 2,687kg of skunk, with three suspects arrested.  
  In Bauchi , Two traffickers were caught with 287kg of skunk  in a Toyota Camry.  

Other Interceptions was at
  Lagos: Marine Command, where  560kg  skunk seized in a wooden boat at Oniru Beach.  
  Maiduguri  Two businessmen arrested with ecstasy and skunk packaged as branded products.  
 NDLEA has intensified anti-drug abuse campaigns in schools across Enugu, Ebonyi, Oyo, and Akwa Ibom.  
The NDLEA’s Stance
Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (Rtd) commended the operatives for their efforts in drug supply reduction and public sensitization.
